Required Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent case management and care coordination abilities
- Experience in health care insurance benefits, laws, and regulations
- Ability to assess ethical and legal aspects of patient care
- Proficiency in data entry and computer skills
- Capable of managing complex cases independently
- Bilingual abilities (Spanish) a plus
Nice to Have Skills:
- Background in medical, insurance, or customer service industries
- Experience with healthcare reimbursement processes and appeals
- Knowledge of billing, coding, and regional payer trends
- Mediation and problem-solving expertise
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Social Work, Nursing, or related field
- Minimum of three years’ recent professional experience in health care insurance, patient advocacy, or case management
- Prior experience in home care management, utilization review, or social services
