SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Join a dynamic manufacturing team as a Buyer and play a critical role in optimizing their supply chain operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence procurement strategies, manage vendor relationships, and ensure the seamless flow of materials essential for production. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will be at the forefront of inventory management, logistics coordination, and cost-saving initiatives, contributing directly to the efficiency and success of their manufacturing process.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably IQMS or DCD, for procurement transactions and inventory control
  • Strong knowledge of materials management, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and supply chain principles
  • Expertise in sourcing strategies, negotiation techniques, and contract management
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, including e-commerce platforms and online sourcing tools
  • Excellent communication skills for vendor negotiations and cross-departmental collaboration
  • Ability to analyze pricing trends, manage inventory levels, and optimize logistics operations
  • Understanding of production planning, merchandising practices, and inventory management best practices

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with logistics and customs clearance procedures
  • Knowledge of integrated supply chain software and advanced data analysis tools
  • Background in manufacturing environments with complex inventory needs

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in procurement or materials management within a manufacturing setting

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work onsite at the manufacturing facility
  • Willingness to participate in occasional travel for supplier visits or industry events
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple priorities effectively
