Mechanical Assembly

Position: Assembler
Shift: Monday - Friday (7:00am - 3:30pm)
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 based on experience 
Location: Glenshaw, PA

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency with Power Tools and Hand Tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job orders
  • Experience with mechanical assembly preferred
  • Conduct visual inspections and basic functional tests on finished panels
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Basic computer skills for navigation and documentation
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to work overtime when needed

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Technical training or certification in electronics or manufacturing
  • Experience with electrical or electronic components
  • Prior knowledge of quality control or inspection procedures

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED (not required but preferred)
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly roles is a plus

Other Requirements:

  • Must adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Ability to work reliably Monday through Friday, 7am-3:30pm

TOPS Staffing is recruiting for a Material Handler / Inventory Clerk to join a well-established manufacturing company. This is a direct hire opportunity from day one for someone who enjoys a hands-on role that combines warehouse, material handling, and inventory responsibilities.

You'll play an important role in keeping production moving by making sure materials are received, organized, tracked, and delivered to the right departments when they're needed.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday
  • Hours: 6:30 AM-3:00 PM
  • Pay: $20.00-$25.00/hour, based on experience
  • Employment: Direct Hire

What You'll Do

  • Load and unload trucks and incoming materials
  • Move raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility
  • Stock and organize the inventory room
  • Pull materials for production orders and deliver them to the appropriate departments
  • Receive incoming materials and verify quantities
  • Update inventory information in the company's ERP/inventory system
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory
  • Keep inventory accurate and organized
  • Work with production, shipping, and receiving to make sure materials are available when needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in material handling, warehouse operations, inventory, or manufacturing
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Overhead crane experience is a plus
  • Experience with an ERP or inventory management system is helpful
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and stay productive with limited supervision
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
