Schedule: Monday – Friday
Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Pay: $70,000 – $80,000 annually + Overtime (paid hourly)
TOPS Staffing is hiring a Fabrication Supervisor for a direct hire opportunity with a growing manufacturing company launching a brand-new 2nd shift operation. This is a unique chance to step into a leadership role where you’ll help build a team and shape the shift from the ground up.
Must be available to start on our daylight shift for 1–2 months to train alongside the current supervisor, learn processes, and assist with hiring of new team members before transitioning to lead the 2nd shift.
Position Overview
As the Fabrication Supervisor, you will lead daily operations for a team of welders and laborers, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety expectations are consistently met. You’ll play a key role in hiring, training, and developing your team as the shift continues to grow.
Responsible for management of:
• 4 Welders
• 3 Laborers
• Additional hires planned as operations expand
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and lead fabrication team on 2nd shift
• Assign daily work based on production priorities
• Train and develop new hires during shift build-out
• Ensure quality standards and production timelines are met
• Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or priorities as needed
• Enforce safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
• Communicate with management regarding production status and needs
• Assist with hiring and performance management of team members
Qualifications:
• Prior supervisory or lead experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes (welding, material handling, etc.)
• Ability to train and develop employees
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Hands-on leadership style with willingness to be involved on the floor
• Ability to adapt in a growing, changing environment
