Pay Rate: $35.00hr+ based on prior experience

Summer Months (June-August) 4x10 schedule (M-Th)
Rest of year is a standard 5x8 schedule (M-F)

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a well-established, family-owned industrial manufacturing company with a strong reputation for precision machining, engineering support, equipment rebuilds, and custom component manufacturing. This is a hands-on programming role supporting a machine shop environment that produces complex parts and assemblies for heavy industrial customers.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where each job may bring different requirements. This person should be confident programming from prints, 3D models, and customer drawings while working closely with machinists, engineers, and shop leadership to ensure programs are accurate, efficient, and production-ready. The role requires someone who can troubleshoot during setup, communicate effectively on the shop floor, and help improve machining processes across the operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop CNC programs for new and rework parts, including 3-axis through 5-axis machining applications
• Use CAM software to create accurate, efficient programs based on engineering prints, 3D models, and customer drawings
• Optimize tool paths, feeds, speeds, and tooling selection to improve cycle time, part quality, and surface finish
• Collaborate with machinists during first-piece setup, program proofing, troubleshooting, and process adjustments
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure programs meet dimensional, tolerance, and quality requirements
• Support programming for custom, low-volume, repair, rebuild, and production machining work
• Maintain CNC program libraries, tooling documentation, post-processors, and related setup information
• Assist with continuous improvement of CNC programming standards, machining processes, and shop efficiency
• Communicate effectively with machining, engineering, quality, and production teams to keep jobs moving accurately and on schedule

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a job-shop, custom machining, repair/rebuild, or production manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with Mastercam, Gibbs, or comparable CAM software
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, 3D models, and customer specifications
• Working knowledge of GD&T and tight-tolerance machining requirements
• Experience programming CNC mills, lathes, boring mills, or multi-axis machining centers
• 5-axis programming experience preferred
• Strong understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, workholding, and machining best practices
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple jobs in progress
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to work directly with machinists on the shop floor

Preferred Background:

• Experience in heavy industrial, steel, mill equipment, pump, gearbox, foundry, repair/rebuild, or custom component manufacturing
• Background supporting large-part machining, complex assemblies, or reverse-engineered components
• Experience improving existing programs for better cycle time, quality, and repeatability

• General cleaning of warehouse and shop areas: sweeping, wiping down equipment, emptying trash and recycling.
• Washing of parts –Loading baskets of parts onto a conveyor belt the machine takes care of the washing part of this process.
• Must be able to lift around 45lbs on a regular basis, as the baskets do get a bit heavier once filled.
• Move products using push carts throughout the shop area to bring to the washing department.

• Prior experience in manufacturing or general labor position preferred
• Machine shop exposure would be a huge plus but not required
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, and move up to 45lbs regularly
• Willingness to learn new skills and help out in various areas as needed (helps to progress into other roles with increased rates of pay)
• Good attention to details is helpful in this role to spot check parts as they are coming out of wash machine.

Job Details:

Daylight shift position 5am to 3:30pm; Offering a Monday to Thursday schedule

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Unboxing of incoming parts
• Packing of finished products
• General shop cleaning – sweeping, emptying trash cans, etc.
• Operation of floor scrubbers
• Assist with preventative maintenance of equipment – will provide training.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent or AS degree
• Prior manufacturing experience is a plus but this is an entry level position willing to consider any and all types of work experience for this opportunity.

• Prolonged periods standing we run a 10 hour shift schedule

• Use profilometers or other surface measurement devices to ensure the finish meets specified standards.
• Conduct hand lapping and polishing as needed to perfectionize component surfaces.
• Assist with rework and quality improvement tasks to meet client specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following 5S standards.
• Set up, modify, and maintain tooling and supplies to ensure consistent quality.
• Support general shop duties, including cleaning, tool inventory, and assisting team members.

Qualifications:

• Ability to operate buffing wheels, hand tools, and polishing equipment safely and effectively.
• Experience with surface measurement tools such as profilometers is preferred.
• Able to work from detailed instructions and adhere to quality standards.
• Basic understanding of rework processes and troubleshooting.
• Reliable and punctual with a valid driver’s license and the ability to provide ID for background checks.
• Must be able to commute to the shop location independently, as public transportation options are limited.

Job Overview
This is a hands-on, helper-style role supporting multiple areas of a fabrication shop. You’ll assist wherever needed, including assembly, warehouse support, material handling, painting, machine operation, and general labor tasks. Duties may change daily, making this a great fit for someone flexible and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with assembly, warehouse, and production support
• Material handling and parts delivery throughout the facility
• Load and unload trucks
