CNC Machinist – Direct Hire | Up to $33/hr

Location: Pittsburgh Area
Schedule: Monday – Friday + Regular Saturday Overtime
Shift: Start on Daylight | Must be open to moving to Afternoon Shift (5% shift differential)
Pay: Up to $33.00/hour (based on experience)

Position Overview
This role will focus on setting up and running CNC Milling machines both vertical and horizontal), performing tool changes, editing programs, and ensuring parts meet tight tolerances. You’ll be expected to take ownership of your machine and jobs from setup through final inspection.

Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate CNC mills vertical and horizontal and other secondary equipment in machine shop.
• Perform tool changes and adjust offsets as needed
• Edit existing CNC programs at the machine (G-code adjustments)
• Build or modify fixtures to complete jobs as required
• Troubleshoot machining issues and get machines back up and running
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Perform in-process and final quality inspections using precision tools
• Load/unload materials and operate overhead cranes or forklifts as needed

CNC Machinist – Afternoon Shift
4-Day Workweek | Overtime Available

Job Details
• Position: CNC Machinist (Mill or Lathe)
• Shift: Afternoon, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday (4 x 10s)
• Overtime: Fridays as needed (OT regularly available)

Position Overview
Machinists in this role are assigned to one primary CNC machine and are responsible for running all parts scheduled on that machine. This shop produces a wide variety of parts, so new setups are common (1–3 per shift). You’ll be hands-on with setups, adjustments, and quality checks, but full programming is not required.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Set up and operate CNC mills or lathes (multi-axis equipment)
• Run a variety of parts with frequent changeovers
• Pull correct material and prepare jobs for production
• Determine proper workholding (fixtures, vises, clamps, clamps, etc.)
• Load programs at the machine using the HMI
• Change tooling and set tool offsets
• Zero out machines and verify setup before running
• Check feeds, speeds, tooling, and coolant flow
• Inspect parts during production using calipers and measuring tools
• Make minor edits or adjustments as needed to keep parts in spec
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
