Position Summary:

TOPS Staffing is recruiting Production Workers for a well-established custom apparel and screen-printing facility located in Trafford, PA. This is an opportunity for candidates interested in learning the apparel-decoration process and working in a fast-paced production environment. Paid, hands-on training is provided. The Production Worker supports multiple stages of the custom apparel-production process. Responsibilities may include preparing garments for printing, assisting with screen-printing operations, inspecting completed products, packaging orders, and supporting shipping and receiving activities. Employees will also get the opportunity to be be cross-trained in different areas of the business–Great opportunity to figure out what you like to do!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the production of custom screen-printed apparel and related products
  • Prepare shirts, uniforms, and other garments for the printing process
  • Load and unload garments from production equipment
  • Arrange garments correctly to help ensure accurate placement of printed designs
  • Support screen-printing machine operators throughout production runs
  • Inspect printed apparel for proper color, placement, clarity, and overall quality
  • Identify printing defects, damaged garments, or incorrect products
  • Count, sort, fold, and package completed orders
  • Apply labels and prepare finished products for shipment
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and material-handling duties when needed
  • Maintain accurate product counts throughout the production process

Qualifications:

  • Previous production, manufacturing, screen-printing, warehouse, or apparel experience is helpful but not required
  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and work on your feet throughout the shift
  • Ability to frequently bend, reach, lift, carry, and perform repetitive hand movements
  • Ability to lift and move boxes, garments, and production materials
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to handle apparel and operate basic production equipment

What You’ll Do:
As a MIG Welder, you’ll be responsible for fitting, fabricating, joining, and repairing steel components used in large, industrial welded assemblies. Your expertise will ensure the production of structurally sound, high-quality welds in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You'll follow blueprints and welding specifications, prepare materials, set up equipment, and sometimes assist with robotic welders—ensuring safety and precision at every step.

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency with measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers)
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and welding symbols
  • Experience setting up and operating MIG welding equipment
  • Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes (certifications preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to pass and maintain MIG welding certification
