Instrument Calibration Technician

• Perform routine calibration of plant equipment, laboratory instruments, gauges, meters, and other calibrated tools
• Test instruments and equipment to ensure they meet established standards and specifications
• Track calibration activities electronically and maintain accurate calibration records
• Maintain instrument and equipment calibration files
• Schedule and coordinate external calibrations with outside vendors
• Enter new equipment into the master calibration schedule and ensure calibration work orders are created before expiration
• Develop calibration procedures for new equipment and revise existing procedures as needed
• Assist with equipment qualification and validation activities
• Plan and perform testing and calibration procedures
• Troubleshoot, disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble instruments and equipment
• Replace defective components and maintain spare parts inventory
• Measure parts and components for conformity with specifications
• Align, repair, replace, and balance components and circuitry
• Use preventive maintenance software to document calibration and repair activities
• Assist engineers with testing, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation

• Technical school certification in Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical equipment
• Comfortable working with computers and Windows-based software
• Ability to learn company-specific software and calibration systems
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple calibration activities
• Previous experience working with technical instruments, gauges, meters, or testing equipment

• 2+ years of experience in a regulated industry
• Medical device, pharmaceutical, laboratory, or other regulated manufacturing experience
• Experience with equipment calibration and preventive maintenance systems
• Experience developing or following calibration procedures
• Familiarity with equipment qualification or validation processes

TOPS Staffing has partnered with a well established manufacturing company who is currently looking for an Electrical wireman to add to its controls department.   In this position you will be tasked with building and wiring electrical controls pumping systems that are utilized across a multitude of industries. This position will involve working from electrical blue prints or schematics to perform point to point wiring in control panels in addition to wiring in system components.   

Job Details:
Contract to hire opportunity! 
Located in RIDC West Industrial park
Hours:  6:30am to 3pm – Monday to Friday schedule - 8hr schedule with flextime offered.
Pay rate: Up to $22 per hour, starting rate based on experience, raise once hired on by client based on performance. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work from electrical blueprints or schematics to build controls for feeder systems.
• Perform system wiring by following print and performing point to point controls wiring work
• Some Mechanical assembly is required in this role
• Work with both metal and plastic conduit.   
• Functional testing of completed controls system.
• Pull parts for unit builds out of inventory utilizing a bill of materials and document pulled inventory properly
• Ability to work overtime on an as needed basis
• Position requires basic computer competency.
• All work requires utilizing a combination of hand and power tools.

• Looking for a minimum of one year of related electrical wiring in a manufacturing or production environment or a related technical degree.
• Must be able to measure accurately
• Must be able to read schematics.
• Forklift operation – Not required but would be a plus
• Minimum of a GED or Highschool diploma education

• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs on occasion
• Ability to be on your feet for entire shift

This position takes over after the rough installation crew has completed their work. You'll complete the final installation of the HVAC system in newly constructed homes before the homeowner moves in.

Responsibilities

• Install outdoor condensers and complete refrigerant line connections
• Install thermostats, registers, and final HVAC components
• Complete electrical wiring connections
• Start up and commission HVAC systems
• Perform airflow testing and system adjustments
• Verify systems are operating properly before home turnover

This is not a customer-facing position. You'll work in newly built, unoccupied homes and will not be interacting with homeowners.

After training, technicians typically work independently in a company vehicle.

Position 3: Residential HVAC Service Technician

Pay: $25-$35/hr (Based on Experience)

We're seeking experienced HVAC Service Technicians with 3+ years of residential service experience.

This is a traditional residential service position performing diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and service calls
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical system issues
• Recommend repair or replacement options when appropriate
• Provide professional customer service while working in occupied homes

Unlike many service companies, you'll primarily work in newer residential homes with modern HVAC equipment, providing a cleaner and more efficient work environment than servicing older systems.
