TOPS has partnered with a local machine shop who is looking for an experienced CNC machinist for their daylight shift. 

As a machinist you must be proficient with doing CNC mill & lathe set up, tool changes, editing from machine interface, operation of machine, quality checks of parts coming out of machines, capable of reading and interpreting blue prints.  The ideal candidate would have some programming experience ability to write new code for parts and this is preferred but at a minimum you must be able to edit and modify existing code.   In this role your main duty will be doing set up of various machines in the shop getting them ready to pass off to the machine operator.

Contract to Hire Opportunity
Schedule: Monday to Friday 
Hours: 6am – 3:30pm - OT available on regular basis
Starting Pay rate: Up to $30per hour based on experience

Duties/Responsibilities
•    Set up and operation of both CNC Mills and Lathes.  We have both vertical and horizontal machines in our shop. 
•    Make any necessary tooling changes on both Mills and Lathes to complete jobs.
•    Must be able to read and interpret blueprints or schematics. 
•    Writing code for new parts as jobs come into the shop.
•    Editing of existing cnc programs, to modify code for jobs as they come in. 
•    Start CNC machine and monitor machine as it runs program.
•    Unload finished part from CNC machine.
•    Quality check parts (dimensional) as your remove from CNC machine must be able to use calipers, micrometers and other measuring devices. 
•    Some documentation required to update travelers that move around shop with our jobs. 
•    Assist with basic preventative maintenance of machine.
•    Operation of secondary shop equipment, drill presses, saws, grinding/ polishing machines, etc. 

Education and Experience:
•    High school diploma or GED equivalent or AS degree
•    1 years of related work experience or AS degree in a related field
•    Ability to do basic shop math
•    Ability to read prints or schematics is preferred but not required 
•    Ability to muli-task and monitor multiple machines in operation. 

Physical Requirements:
•    Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
•    Must be able to lift up to 40lbs

Training:

Responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Maintain CNC machines, press brakes, robotic welding equipment, saws, and other production machinery
  • Diagnose and repair 480V electrical systems, motors, controls, and machine wiring
  • Troubleshoot hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and mechanical drive systems
  • Assist with PLC and VFD troubleshooting when required
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns while identifying root causes

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Strong experience troubleshooting 480V industrial electrical systems – Can train on the job but must have a minimum of 240v exposure
  • Mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience maintaining CNC equipment, fabrication equipment, or automated production machinery preferred
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, motors, gearboxes, and power transmission systems
  • PLC and VFD troubleshooting experience is a plus

Delivery Driver (Local Delivery)

Position: Delivery Driver 
Pay: $20-$22hr 
Schedule: 8am—4:30pm, Monday—Friday 
Location: Oakdale, PA
Employment Type: Contract to hire

We are seeking a Delivery Driver to join a leading Pittsburgh-based distributor and manufacturer’s rep specializing in industrial pumps and equipment across diverse industries such as chemical, oil & gas, power, steel, and more. We’re seeking a dedicated and professional Delivery Driver to be the vital link between the company and their valued customers. 

As a Delivery Driver with us, you'll be the face of our company, ensuring timely and safe pickups and deliveries that uphold our reputation for excellence. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, from operating a variety of trucks to interacting professionally with clients. We value safety, dependability, and a proactive attitude—qualities that will help you succeed in this key position.

Required Skills:

  • Verifiable experience driving medium and heavy-duty trucks in a delivery role
  • Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
  • Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
  • Clean driving record
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
  • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility for nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods

Nice to Have Skills:

  • CDL certification (not required but preferred)
  • Familiarity with local routes and navigation

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to operate a non-CDL medium-duty pickup truck and a heavy-duty straight flatbed truck under 26,000 GVWR
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and proper maintenance
  • Professional appearance and customer interaction skills
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening
