Sr. Electrical Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll perform expert-level design and analysis to support field and fabrication offices. You’ll independently evaluate project requirements, select and adapt engineering techniques, and deliver complete project documentation while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders.

Job Details

Required Skills

  • BS in Engineering required; MS preferred
  • 6+ years related engineering experience
  • Proficiency in IEEE, NEC, and NESC standards
  • Strong knowledge of PFDs and P&IDs, including 3D/2D routing and modeling
  • Ability to develop electrical power distribution construction drawing and specification packages
  • Demonstrated success in industrial power distribution projects, including medium voltage utility tie-in through low-voltage facility distribution (Oil & Gas experience preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with ETAP, EasyPower, SKM, PSS, or similar modeling software
  • Experience designing for utility distribution and/or transmission substation projects, including layout/spacing, equipment specification, grounding studies, and protection & coordination studies
  • Ability to supervise testing and commissioning of industrial and/or utility substations (preferred)

Nice to Have Skills

  • Professional Engineer (PE) (preferred)
  • PMP certification (desirable)
  • Sag and tension calculations and pole selection/placement experience
  • Familiarity with MS Project or Primavera
  • Experience supporting client specifications, procurement, commissioning/start-up standards, vendor data approvals, and documentation

Preferred Education and Experience

  • BS in Engineering requiredMS preferred
  • 6+ years directly related electrical engineering experience in power distribution and/or substations

Other Requirements

  • Occasional overtime and travel may be required
  • Strong written/oral communication skills; ability to prepare and present project updates

Shift & Schedule:

TOPS Staffing is hiring a Tank Tester / Laborer for a fabrication shop located in Cheswick, PA.

Shift & Schedule:
Afternoon shift, Mon-Fri, 3pm to 11:30pm 

Pay:
Starting at $24.96 per hour + shift differential for afternoon shift 

Training Requirement:
This position will require an initial training period on daylight shift (6:30am to 3:00pm) could  be as short as 2 weeks but could be up to one month duration.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Saw / Grinder Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in the Leetsdale area. This role is responsible for accurately cutting raw materials to specification, grinding and finishing components, supporting material movement throughout the facility, and ensuring products meet quality standards before advancing to the next stage of production. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment, reading basic drawings, and operating saws, grinders, and other shop equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate band saws to cut material according to work orders and drawings.
  • Grind, deburr, and finish metal components to required specifications.
  • Inspect parts for quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Operate secondary equipment such as grinders, sanders, and drill presses.
  • Move raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and daily equipment checks.
  • Record production information in the ERP system.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Assist with other production duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Manufacturing, machine shop, fabrication, or metalworking experience preferred.
  • Ability to read basic drawings and use measuring tools.
  • Forklift experience is a plus or willingness to obtain certification.
