Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician
Direct Hire | 2nd Shift | Up to $33/hr
TOPS Staffing is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the Penn Hills / Plum area to hire an experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for its 2nd shift operations.
This is a direct hire opportunity with a stable manufacturer seeking a technician who can work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting and repairing both electrical and mechanical systems in a production environment.
While this is a true multi-craft maintenance role, the facility's equipment makes this position slightly heavier on the electrical side.
Schedule & Pay
Shift: 2nd Shift
Start Time: Flexible between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM
Hours: Typically 8-9 hour shifts
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours Worked: Generally 45-50 hours per week
Pay: $26.00-$33.00/hr based on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities
- Diagnose production equipment failures and implement corrective actions
- Install, remove, and rebuild machinery and equipment
- Repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Complete maintenance work orders and documentation
- Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
- Respond to production downtime issues and restore equipment operation
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Experience performing both electrical and mechanical repairs in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to troubleshoot independently with limited supervision
- Experience working with motors, controls, sensors, conveyors, and automated equipment
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical prints
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Technical degree or maintenance certification is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing throughout the shift
- Ability to work around operating production equipment
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly
