Position Overview

The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting large fabricated metal products, including structural beams, steel pipe, and plate steel. This role involves verifying dimensions, reviewing drawings, documenting inspection results, and ensuring products meet customer and quality requirements before shipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect fabricated steel beams, pipe, and plate products for quality and accuracy
• Read tape measures and verify dimensions against drawings and specifications
• Review basic blueprints, drawings, and work orders
• Complete inspection reports and quality documentation accurately
• Identify non-conforming products and communicate findings to production personnel
• Perform visual inspections for workmanship and product quality
• Maintain organized records and inspection paperwork
• Learn and utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, or quality-related environment preferred
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure is required
• Ability to read basic blueprints or shop drawings is required
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Comfortable working around large steel products and fabrication equipment

TOPS Staffing is searching for an experienced Electronics Technician for a client who manufacturers and performs service and repair work to devices used primarily in the medical field.

The ideal candidate will have either 3+ years of experience doing electro-mechanical assembly/ disassembly and board level electronics trouble shooting and repair/ replacement work in a similar environment OR an associates degree in related field (electronics or mechatronics are preferred) or formal electronics training from the military or a prior employer.

Located near Blawnox, PA
Hours:  Daylight shift – 7:30am to 3:30pm – Monday to Friday schedule; some overtime may be required on an as needed basis.
Pay: Based on experience up to $23.50 per hour 

** Opportunity for raise to $25+hr when hired on by company based on progression and performance during contract period. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform component level troubleshooting, repair and replacement work.
• Solder electronic components
• Soldering of wires
• Use of electronic testing equipment – Test fixtures
• Assembly or disassembly of mid to large scale medical equipment.
• Use of various hand and power tools
• Ability to work from blueprints or schematics
• Bench work type of environment, can perform a lot of this work either seated or standing

• Associates degree in electronics or related field or formal training from military or other programs is preferred or equivalent related work experience (3+ years)
• Experience working in production environment as an electronics technician
• Must be able to read and interpret schematics.

• Frequently sit, stand, and walk in this position.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs on occasion.
