Job Details:

Direct Hire Position
3 days in office, 2 days at home
Labor & Employment Paralegal Experience is required

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Work with litigation attorneys in complex litigation
  • Preparation of pleadings, discovery, motions, and deposition summaries
  • Assisting on all aspects of eDiscovey
  • Preparation of trial exhibits and binders
  • Federal and PA State Electronic Filing
  • Work within document management system
Education and Experience:
  • Must have 3+ years of labor & employment paralegal experience
  • Bachelor's or paralegal certificate is required
  • Experience with Electronic Filing is required

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal support professional with strong document production skills and experience working in a fast-paced corporate or transactional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, revise, proofread, and format complex legal documents, agreements, and correspondence.
  • Manage complex Microsoft Word formatting, including styles, numbering, tables, cross-references, footnotes, page breaks, and redlines.
  • Create, edit, combine, bookmark, and redact PDF documents.
  • Prepare document comparisons and redlines using Litera.
  • Manage electronic client and matter files and document version control.
  • Prepare and track electronic signature packages through DocuSign.
  • Assist with virtual data rooms and transaction documents, including signature pages and closing materials.
  • Manage attorney calendars, meetings, deadlines, and Teams meetings.
  • Create and edit PowerPoint presentations and perform basic Excel functions.
  • Provide administrative and overflow support to attorneys as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or similar legal support professional preferred.
  • Corporate or transactional law experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat/PDF skills required.
  • Experience with Litera, iManage, and DocuSign preferred.
  • Virtual data room experience is a plus.
  • Strong proofreading, grammar, organizational, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with all aspects of labor and employment matters, including litigation, counseling, and administrative proceedings.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
  • Manage cases before federal and state courts, as well as administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), and state human relations commissions.
  • Conduct legal and factual research related to employment laws, regulations, and workplace policies.
  • Organize, review, and summarize personnel files, employee records, payroll records, and other employment-related documents.
  • Assist with all phases of discovery, including document collection, review, production, and preparation of privilege logs.
  • Coordinate and manage electronic document databases and case files.
