TOPS Staffing is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company to hire experienced Welders for a direct hire opportunity focused on large tank and boiler vessel fabrication. This is a shop-based position offering steady work, union benefits, and long-term wage growth in a stable manufacturing environment.

Currently hiring for both  Daylight shift and Afternoon shifts!
 

Position Overview

As a Welder, you will work on large tanks and pressure vessels in a production shop environment. This role requires welding both inside and outside of tanks using MIG and Stick welding processes, with the opportunity to train into submerged arc welding as needed.

Candidates must be comfortable entering tanks and working in somewhat confined spaces to complete welds and fabrication work. Welders must be able to fit through tank openings and safely perform welding duties inside vessels when required.

1st shift - Monday to Friday - 6:30am to 3pm 
2nd Shift – Monday to Friday – 3:00pm to 11:30pm

Starting Pay: $25.60 per hour 

Training Requirement:
This position will require an initial training period on daylight shift (6:30am to 3:00pm) for up to one month while the company completes hiring for the new 2nd shift team and provides onboarding and training for the position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and Stick welding on tanks, pressure vessels, and large fabrications
  • Train and perform Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)
  • Weld both inside and outside of tanks according to approved welding procedures
  • Enter tanks and perform welding duties in somewhat confined spaces
  • Work on large boiler tanks and heavy-duty vessel components
  • Read and interpret weld symbols, blueprints, and fabrication drawings
  • Prepare joints, grind, and clean weld areas as required
  • Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance
  • Maintain production and quality documentation
  • Follow all safety procedures related to confined space and welding operations

Qualifications

  • Experience with MIG and Stick welding required
  • Experience welding tanks, pressure vessels, or heavy structural components preferred
  • Comfortable working inside tanks and somewhat confined spaces
  • Must be able to fit through tank openings to access interior weld areas
  • Ability to train on daylight shift for up to one month before transitioning to 2nd shift
  • Submerged arc welding experience is a plus but not required
  • Ability to read and interpret weld symbols and blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable attendance and transportation to and from work

TOPS Staffing is hiring a Warehouse & Materials Coordinator for a growing manufacturing company in the Glenshaw/ Etna area of Pittsburgh. This is a direct hire opportunity with a stable organization where you will play a key role in purchasing, inventory management, and material planning activities that support daily production operations.

This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports or employee management responsibilities. We are seeking a hands-on professional who can independently manage purchasing and inventory functions while working closely with production, suppliers, shipping, and receiving teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage purchasing activities for raw materials, production supplies, packaging materials, and operational needs
• Create, issue, and track purchase orders through the ERP system
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to support production schedules
• Maintain accurate inventory records through transactions, cycle counts, and audits
• Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, deliveries, and material availability
• Track shortages, delayed shipments, and backorders while providing updates to operations teams
• Support warehouse organization, FIFO inventory practices, and material traceability requirements
• Assist with implementing and maintaining warehouse barcoding and location tracking systems
• Perform high-volume data entry and maintain purchasing and inventory records
• Provide support to shipping, receiving, and logistics functions when needed

Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, warehouse coordination, or materials planning within a manufacturing environment required
• Experience independently managing purchasing responsibilities
• Strong understanding of inventory management and material planning processes
• ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, Plex, or similar) required 
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in an ISO-regulated manufacturing environment is a plus
• Forklift experience is helpful but not required
