What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, and support HVAC systems through calculations, equipment selection, and detailed construction documents.
- Lead project efforts, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering professional growth.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and vendors to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Support fieldwork activities including surveys, progress reports, and project close-out procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in an engineering consulting environment within the AEC and MEP/FP industry.
- Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC design, calculations, equipment selection, and specifications.
- Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and graphical standards for construction documentation.
- Experience with software such as Carrier HAP and/or Trane Trace.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with plumbing or fire protection system design.
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite and Bluebeam Revu.
- Ability to perform designs, calculations, and modeling for plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Strong client interfacing and technical discussion skills.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Over a decade of professional experience in HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection systems within an engineering consulting firm.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed for fieldwork and client meetings.

- Review code and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback.
Education and Experience:
- Experience working as a Software Developer with demonstrated success developing a variety of software systems, particularly web-based solutions.
