AllTek Staffing is partnering with an engineering consulting firm in Pittsburgh that is currently looking to bring on a Project Manager to their team.  

Job Details:

• This is a direct hire role.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Applies applicable transmission and gathering pipeline industry and company standards and practices to all design work

• Review and assess new technology, materials and equipment

• Frame engineering/operational problems and propose solutions

• Monitor and support engineering related activities as related to field construction projects

• Monitor system performance and prepare long and short-term facility plans including costs

• Must be able to make sound engineering decisions under limited time constraints

• Prepare written procedures to facilitate construction, maintenance, pipeline integrity assessments and operation of gas transmission and gathering systems

• Provide analysis, design, specification and cost estimates for jurisdictional and non-jurisdictional natural gas gathering and transmission systems

• Provide technical support to field as needed

• Prepare and present technical reports on projects

• Contribute to the development of the budget and containment of project costs

• Plan, develop scope of work and manage pipeline design/construction and integrity assessment projects

• Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) training and apply CI tools and methodologies to improve output of job assignments and work processes

Education & Experience:

• 5-10 years of direct industry experience as a Project Engineer orPMP is Preferred.

• Prior supervisory or managerial experience

• Education Level - Industry specific formal training, vocation/technical school or some college/Associates degree required or Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering

• Knowledge of Piping materials

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field
• 5 years’ relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years of project engineering experience.
• Knowledge of design, installation and commissioning of gas pipeline system including gathering and transmission pipelines, gas/liquid separation, heating and flow/pressure regulation, measurement and odorization
• Knowledge of planning and execution of pipeline integrity management tasks including ILI and DA, pipeline remediation, threat identification, risk assessment and records management

Job Title: Senior Piping Designer – Renewable Energy & Biogas Projects

Overview:
AllTek is seeking an experienced Senior Piping Designer to join a leading organization committed to sustainable energy development. In this role, you will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to design and develop piping systems, prepare detailed P&ID’s, create 3D models, and produce fabrication and installation drawings for biogas and renewable natural gas facilities. Your expertise will directly influence project success, from conceptual design through construction, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Required Skills:

• Minimum of 5+ years' experience in piping design, technical drafting, and 3D modeling within the natural gas, chemical processing, or biogas industry.
• Strong proficiency with Plant3D and intelligent modeling techniques.
• Extensive knowledge of P&ID development, piping specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
• Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, timely drawings and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in creating and managing CAD templates and documentation standards.
• Familiarity with Navisworks for design reviews.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and other relevant engineering software.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in designing electrical schematics and one-line diagrams.
• Background in gas plant layout, skid design, or electrical systems integration.
• Prior involvement with project procurement processes and bill of materials generation.
• Knowledge of industry safety standards and safety management practices.
• Additional certifications such as ASME, API, or relevant piping codes.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in piping layout and design, preferably within renewable energy, biogas, or chemical plants.
