Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

TOPS Staffing is hiring an HR Administrative Assistant for a short-term assignment supporting a busy HR department. This role is heavily focused on recruiting support for hourly production roles, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and keeping hiring processes moving.

Position Overview
This role will spend the majority of time supporting recruiting efforts for positions such as material handlers, production workers, and maintenance technicians. You’ll be the first point of contact for many candidates and play a key role in keeping the hiring process organized and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting Support (90%)
• Review applicants and make outbound calls to candidates
• Ask basic pre-screen questions using a provided script
• Schedule onsite interviews with qualified candidates
• Greet candidates arriving for interviews
• Set up and proctor basic production/skills testing
• Conduct structured, on-site interviews using a prewritten question guide
• Document candidate responses and provide feedback to HR team

Onboarding & HR Support (5%)
• Assist new hires with completing onboarding paperwork
• Monitor HR inbox and route employee questions to appropriate team members
• Support general HR administrative tasks as needed

Office Organization (5%)
• Help maintain an organized office and interview space
• Assist with general administrative duties

Qualifications
• Previous administrative, recruiting, or HR support experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable speaking with candidates in person and over the phone
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow structured processes and scripts
• Basic computer skills required

Nice to Have
• Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) such as Bullhorn

This position will involve working from electrical blue prints or schematics to perform point to point wiring in control panels in addition to wiring in system components.

Hours:  6:30am to 3pm – Monday to Friday schedule - 8hr schedule with flextime offered.
Pay rate: Up to $20 per hour, starting rate based on experience, raise once hired on by client based on performance. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work from electrical blueprints or schematics to build controls for feeder systems.
• Perform system wiring by following print and performing point to point controls wiring work
• Some Mechanical assembly is required in this role
• Work with both metal and plastic conduit.   
• Functional testing of completed controls system.
• Pull parts for unit builds out of inventory utilizing a bill of materials and document pulled inventory properly
• Ability to work overtime on an as needed basis
• Position requires basic computer competency.
• All work requires utilizing a combination of hand and power tools.

• Looking for a minimum of one year of related electrical wiring in a manufacturing or production environment or a related technical degree.

• 5+ years total experience in a production environment.
• Experience working in regulated or quality-focused manufacturing (medical device, pharmaceutical, electronics, etc.) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S practices.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
