TOPS Staffing is currently looking to hire a General Laborer/Machine Operator for a direct hire opportunity with a client in the Harmarville area of Pittsburgh. This position will require working in a manufacturing/ production fabrication shop environment. 

In this role you will be tasked with performing a multitude of duties around the shop, some of the main components of the job will involve material handling utilizing an overhead crane to move products in process and raw materials around the shop.  Another primary duty of this position will be loading large metal tanks into a machine that works like a centrifuge, and then loading the tank with a cement slurry mixture.  When the machine is turned on it spins the tank at a high RPM and the cement slurry lines the inner walls of the tank or vessel itself.  Secondary function of this job will include doing some painting of lined tanks, but you dont have to be a professional painter here, any sort of prior painting experience would be a plus but we can train on the job as well. 

Job Details:
•    Direct hire opportunity 
•    Starting pay rate for this position is $24.96per hour

TOPS Staffing is currently looking to hire a few qualified machine operators for a growing client in Petersburg, VA.  Our client recently started second shift (afternoon) operations, and due to this have a need to hire on several new employees.

In this position you will be operating a state of the art Peddi Bot machine, this machine is used for processing steel beams, tubes and plates.  As an operator you will be responsible for loading and unloading your machine, operation of the machine itself, making any adjustments needed from the HMI screen on the machine, and quality checks (measuring pieces and confirming holes or cut outs are accurate)

Ideally we are looking for individuals with prior fabrication or machine shop experience, however we will also consider candidates with other types of manufacturing experience, who show good job tenures in their past employments. 

Job Details:
Afternoon shift position – Monday to Friday
Hours: 3pm to 11:30pm 
Overtime is available on a somewhat regular basis.  
Pay rate: Up to $21 per hour to start ($23 to $25hr once hired by client)

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Operation of a state of the robotic laser cutting machine 
  • Loading and unloading of machine
