Job Details:
Responsible for electrical engineering, design, integration and test in support of our client’s electromechanical products.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Performs system integration and test of advanced electric and hydraulic systems including but not limited to system wiring and checkout, baseline testing, interlock configuration and checkout, position transducer scaling and error adjustment, power supply checkout, actuator checkout and motion controller compensation.
• Assures that all electrical aspects of the system design meet contractual requirements and budget constraints
• Develops product specifications and test procedures from customer requirements
• Performs optical and dynamic measurements of new and retrofitted systems
• Supports the technical needs of high potential automation customers; troubleshoots electro-mechanical, mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Installs new and retrofitted systems at domestic and international customer facilities
• Perform Factory Acceptance Testing at AUS facility and Customer Acceptance Testing at customer facility
• Solves project related technical issues together with the Engineering Department
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. Electrical Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, Systems Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university, required
- Master of Science degree preferred
- A minimum of five years of experience in a field of servo-controlled applications
- Experience with MATLAB and Simulink
- A combination of education and experience may be considered
- Must be a US Citizen
- In-depth knowledge of our client’s products and processes
- Proven record of consistently delivering strong output
