TOPS Staffing is hiring Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technicians for a rapidly growing manufacturing company. The company is currently moving into a brand-new facility that is twice the size of their current operation, creating the need to add several new assembly technicians to the team.

Position Overview
This role focuses on bench-style electro-mechanical assembly work. Technicians will build and assemble mechanical and electrical components used in control cabinets and related equipment. Candidates with mechanical assembly experience are encouraged to apply, and experience with point-to-point wiring or soldering is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform bench assembly of electro-mechanical components and subassemblies
• Build mechanical assemblies used in electrical control systems
• Perform point-to-point wiring based on diagrams and instructions
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings
• Perform basic testing and inspection of assembled components

Qualifications
• Experience with mechanical assembly or production assembly work
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Experience with point-to-point wiring is preferred
• Soldering experience with wires or electronic components is a plus
• Ability to read assembly drawings or wiring diagrams is helpful
• Good attention to detail and strong manual dexterity

This position involves hands-on mechanical work disassembling, repairing, cleaning, and reassembling specialized components. This is a great opportunity for candidates who enjoy working with their hands and are interested in precision mechanical assembly.

Position Overview
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for disassembling, cleaning, repairing, and reassembling mechanical components and housings. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow work instructions, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
• Disassemble and reassemble mechanical housings and components
• Repair, replace, paint, and buff device housings and related parts
• Clean external components using tools such as buffing machines and other cleaning methods
• Assist technicians with equipment teardown and preparation work
• Perform mechanical inspections on completed assemblies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
• Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures

Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools and small power tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a production environment

Preferred Experience
• Technical school coursework or 3+ years of related mechanical or assembly experience
• Experience working with electro-mechanical equipment or devices
• Experience in manufacturing environments following ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 quality standards
• Previous work in medical device manufacturing is a plus

Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

Mechanical Assembler - Direct hire opportunity

TOPS has partnered with a local manufacturing company to find an experienced, mechanical assemblers to add to their growing production team.  We are ideally looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience doing larger scale mechanical assembly work in a manufacturing environment. 

These are mid to upper level assembler roles, in which you will be tasked with doing final system assembly work.  You will be responsible for piecing together several system components to make a working finished product and then testing this product to ensure proper functionality.

Job Details:
Direct Hire opportunity - No contract period with TOPS
Up to $25 per hour based on experience 
Daylight Shift - 7am to 3:30pm + overtime as needed. 
Work Schedule - Monday to Friday 

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, wire, and test mechanical and pneumatic systems

  • Read blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions

  • Use hand tools, grinders, and material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, rigging)

  • Inspect parts, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality standards

  • Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow safety protocols

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade school preferred)

  • 3–5 years manufacturing or industrial assembly experience is preferred, minimum of 2 years experience required. 

  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with assembly/testing equipment

  • Team player with strong attention to detail
