Junior Repair Technician – Day or Afternoon Shift

TOPS Staffing is partnering with a growing medical device company to hire two Junior Repair Technicians for their Clinton, PA location. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build a long-term career in medical device repair and technical support. No prior repair experience is required — full training is provided.

Position Overview
As a Junior Repair Technician, you’ll support the repair and refurbishment of medical devices in a clean, organized production environment. You’ll assist with processing incoming units, cleaning and decontamination, basic repairs, and preparing finished products for shipment. This position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working with their hands and learning new skills.

Pay & Location
• Pay Rate: $18.00 – $18.50 per hour
• Location: Clinton, PA

Work Schedule Options
Choose the schedule that fits your lifestyle:
• 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
or
• 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday

Shift Availability
• Daylight Shift: Start times between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM
• Afternoon Shift: Start times between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM

What You’ll Be Doing
• Process and inspect incoming medical devices
• Assist with cleaning and decontamination of equipment
• Perform basic repair and assembly tasks with guidance
• Use hand and power tools for disassembly and reassembly
• Prepare completed units for packaging and shipment
• Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards
• Document work using basic computer systems
• Work as part of a supportive, team-oriented production group

What You’ll Do:

Job Details:

Schedule: Monday to Friday - Occasional weekend work will be required 
Pay: Based on experience but up to $39 per hour 

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in industrial maintenance, especially in plastic manufacturing or related fields
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot plastic injection and blow molding systems effectively
• Proficiency with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Skilled in the use of micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement tools
• Background in mechanical repair, assembly/disassembly of molds, and process troubleshooting
• Good communication skills to work with teams across departments
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques, including further training or schooling
• Familiarity with inspecting molds and dies for defects to know when to pull them out of production and send for repair. 
• Communicate with approved tool & die shops to coordinate repair of molds.  We do not self perform repairs on our molds we contract them out to local tool & die shops to perform repairs. 

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience designing or working with plastic injection molds
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Experience with CAD software like Creo or similar
• Ability to interpret blueprints and manufacturing standards

Preferred Education and Experience:

• 1-3 years of related work experience in industrial maintenance or tooling
• Associate Degree in Engineering or Science; Bachelor’s degree is a plus
• Prior experience working with molds or in the plastics industry

Other Requirements:

• Able to perform mechanical troubleshooting, disassembly, and reassembly of automated production equipment to inspect various parts on machine for wear and perform cleaning of various components. 
• Comfort working with safety and compliance procedures

Training on Day Shift | Long-Term Overnight Role

The ideal candidate has experience with CNC machining or EDM operations and is comfortable working independently once trained.
