

Join AccountStaff on behalf of our client as a Temporary AP Specialist and play a vital role in overseeing accounts payable functions during a leave coverage period. This onsite position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your accounting expertise, collaborate with professionals, and ensure seamless financial operations.
- Train with the AP Accounting Specialist on the full Accounts Payable process.
- Enter and code invoices, set up vendors, and manage weekly check runs.
- Handle sales and use tax filings and reconciliations.
- Perform GL account reconciliations using BlackLine.
- Post daily production labor costs and maintain ERP setup for temporary labor.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, journal entries, and reporting.
- Support other accounting tasks such as standard costing, job costing, and purchase price variance analysis.
- Contribute to special projects as directed by management.
Required skills include strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities, along with excellent communication and computer skills. Candidates should be team-oriented, capable of managing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and possess an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. Experience with ERP systems is preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide data entry support that is required to update and maintain the integrity of the information in both the payroll and timekeeping systems.
- Reconcile Payroll reports.
- Make payments timely and accurately.
- Enter deduction arrears for any amounts due from employees.
- Responsible for payroll taxes and fringe reporting.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Education and Experience:

- Excellent written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of diverse individuals.
