Direct Hire
Shift: Afternoon Shift - 3pm to midnight; Monday to Friday – your quality/lab staff will work a 4pm to midnight schedule.
Starting Salary: Based on prior experience and qualifications but will be in the ball park of 55 to 60k, starting off.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Perform / Supervision of company Quality Department
- Perform pre-shipment review and release of finished product.
- Conduct and assist in internal food safety and quality audits in line with the SQF program.
- Coordinate with production in the monitoring of all processes and procedures to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement within the mixing, filling and packaging lines, the control of weights, code dates and product/packaging integrity.
- Troubleshoot for product batch making tests, sensory tests, sampling needs, analytical tests, and product specification measurements.
- Investigate consumer complaints, determines root cause, develops corrective actions and monitors for effectiveness.
- Manage relationships with internal/external customers, suppliers, colleagues, and support services to ensure achievement of targets.
- Update companies Quality Management System, Calibration Schedule, and SOP’s (Lab and QA) as needed.
- Ensure training of associates at all levels on quality programs.
- Manage effective records and files, summarize data, and prepare and interpret reports for use by management.
- Acts as communication liaison between management and staff to support corporate and plant-driven initiatives.
- Ensures that a high quality of products, services, housekeeping, and hygiene standards are maintained and improved in designated areas.
- Ensures compliance with Safe Quality Foods.
- Capable of performing Trace/Recall on all materials for potential recall at any time.
- Responsible for the management of the recall procedure, allergens, and HACCP in the plant.
- Ensure that the preoperative sanitation inspections are conducted and proper follow-up occurs when unsanitary conditions exist.
- Oversee the completion and compliance of the environmental monitoring program and manages root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Oversee the Kosher program.
- Provide training and cross-training to the Quality department staff to assure departmental objectives are met within budget, product specifications, quality requirements and safety standards.
- Supervise testing procedures to insure that analyses methods are accurately followed. Provide direction and technical assistance to the QA Technicians as needed.
- Lead the sensory program (finished product and raw ingredient evaluation).
- Monitor and order lab supplies.
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department & services performed. Evaluate and recommend revisions to internal processes and policies to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Must be willing to work a varied schedule to ensure interaction with day and night shift associates. Flexibility in days of work week required.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of raw materials, packaging and finished product specifications.
- Provides back-up to the Director of Quality as necessary
- Addresses unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and hazards in their respective work area(s), and evaluates the ensuing correction(s).
- Follows all safety & GMP rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience performing mechanical assembly or disassembly work either in a production or automotive type setting. We have had a lot of success with candidates who have some autobody or related experience in this role. A big part of this position is going to be doing disassembly and reassembly of units we have coming in for repair or service work. A portion of this job will be using bondo to repair cracks or chips, then sanding and finish painting equipment to make look like a new once finished.

In this position you will use a series of baths to clean newly manufactured parts coming out of our machine shop. This will involve dipping/ soaking parts in a series of baths which helps clean and degrease the parts before they continue on in our production process. We will provide training for this position.

TOPS has partnered with a local manufacturing company looking for an experienced mechanical assembler with some experience using a CNC milling center.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience doing larger scale mechanical assembly work in a manufacturing environment. Also will consider any car or diesel mechanic or similarly related experience as those skills would be applicable to this position.
These are upper level assembler roles, that will be tasked with doing final system assembly work. You will be responsible for piecing together several system components to make a working finished product and then testing this product to ensure proper functionality.
The ideal candidate will have some CNC operation experience. We just bough a new milling center and plan to use this machine mainly for drilling holes and milling the face off parts to bring them to the correct specifications. You do not need to be machinist to qualify for this role, if you have a strong mechanical aptitude and have used a milling center before we encourage you to apply.
Job Details:
Pay: Based on experience up to $25+ per hour

Production Technician - Assembly - Afternoon shift
As a production technician, you will be tasked with doing hand assembly of various molds we manufacture. In this position you will be using materials such as resins, carbon fiber, fiberglass and foams to build up layers of our molds. We are willing to provide on the job training to teach you proper techniques and the skills needed to be successful in this position.
Candidates who have prior experience doing floor installations, hanging wallpaper, installing vinyl wraps or decals, working with fiberglass, autobody repair or enjoy doing arts and crafts have historically worked out well in these positions.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on composite repair, layup, and fabrication using hand tools for parts used in the aerospace, automotive, and space sectors.
- Lay out, assemble, and bond composite and laminate parts, including pre-fitting and skin assembly.
- Work with pre-preg composite materials and perform wet lay-up processes.
- Handle and process various materials such as resins, carbon fiber, fiberglass, and foam.
- Sand and grind composite components while following proper PPE and safety protocols.
- Cut foam boards, composites, carbon fiber boards, wood, and similar materials using table saws, band saws, jig saws, and other shop tools.

- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical documents
- Must be able to read a tape measure accurately! Will also be required to us micrometers and calipers in this job.
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Posses a high attention to detail to perform finishing work like sanding and blending.
- Good manual dexterity, this position requires working with your hands for entirety of 8 hour production shift.
- Experience working with a small team is preferred
- Ability to recognize typical problem with in production and select established solutions that company has already identified.

Finish Grinding Technician
TOPS Staffing is currently looking to hire a grinder/ finish polisher for a client in the Irwin area. These are daylight shift positions working on Monday to Thursday, 10hr shift schedule.
In this position you will be working with a team of about 5 other employees to help debur and then finish polish metal parts coming out of our machine shop. This is done using different types of grinders (hand and bench), with a series of abrasive grinding wheels and polishing pads.
Position will require wearing a respirator!

In this position you will be tasked with setting up, maintaining, adjusting, loading and unloading of an extrusion line which is used to shape melted plastic into finished products. This process is done by using a machine/ production line that heats plastic and then pushes it through a metal die to form it into various finished products. This job requires a strong attention to detail, a good mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.

Schedule: This position does involve working weekends. You will always get 2 consecutive days off work and those days wont change on you most times they are Friday and Saturday or Sunday and Monday.
Hours: Afternoon shift - 4pm to 12am (midnight), Overtime is available in this position
Pay Rate = $19.00 per hour
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure hopper or feeder on your line is filled with raw material at all times
- Change out dies for different product runs or as needed based on quality of product.
- Monitor quality of product using tape measure, dial calipers and visual inspections
- Stack finished product onto carts or bundle in boxes ensuring profiles are properly stacked or packaged.
- Verify piece count for carts and boxes
- Properly record piece count, and machine running conditions and/or settings for each line assigned to you.
- Monitor machine feed rate, and product profile configuration
- Maintain supply of compound or raw material staged at machine
- Assist in moving carts when necessary
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One to three years of industrial experience and or training in a manufacturing environment
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms
- Ability to read and understand blue prints of parts (willing to provide training in this area)

This position will involves helping move raw materials, finished goods, and recycled scraps around production facility utilizing a forklift. Must have recent experience operating a sit down forklift to qualify for this position.

Daylight shift position
Schedule - Will involve working either Saturday or Sundays - Will always have 2 consecutive days off but our facility runs 7 days a week. Most times your days of are either Friday and Saturday or Sunday and Monday.
Hours: 6am to 2:30pm - Overtime is available in this position
Pay Rate: $17.75
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operator material handler equipment – Including but not limited to forklifts
- Move materials around facility
- Load & unload trucks coming and going from plant

- Move storage racks into storage in the warehouse, these are stackable racks, racks are long 20+ feet and can get heavy when loaded.
- Forklift driving is the primary duty of this position.

Production Die Cleaner - Afternoon shift
Main purpose of this position is clean metal dies we utilize in our plastic extrusion machines. This is done using multiple techniques, but in general its giving them a series of baths with industrial cleaners, and then hand cleaning them using various tools such as picks, scrapers, brushes, etc. Requires a person with some patients and a high attention to detail.

Schedule -This job may involve working on the weekends, your schedule will give you 2 days off in a row but those days may not be the typical Saturday and Sunday.

Sr. Production Machine Operator - Afternoon Shift
TOPS Staffing has partnered with a local manufacturing company who is currently looking to hire experienced Afternoon Shift Machine operators.
Great opportunity to join a growing company and work in a state of the art automated production facility. These role will involve helping to manufacture life saving medical products, which are manufactured inside a clean room environment. In these roles the production equipment is doing the bulk of the assembly and manufacturing work and your job is to tend to the equipment and production lines. This is mainly done by monitoring an HMI or display screen that are attached to each of the production machines and lines, and will give you real time read outs of what is going on with the machine and line and display errors, jams, faults, etc., you then would stop the line or machine and clear the problem and reset the equipment using the HMI controls. This is a position we will provide on the job training for.
Job Details:
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours:2:30pm to 11pm
Starting pay rate: $20.00 per hour
Duties/Responsibilities:
- All work is performed in a clean room environment
- Load and unload machines
- Use machine interface (HMI screen) to Monitor machine performance
- Monitor HMI screen of machine faults
- Open machines to clear jams or faults
- Restart machine and production line once you clear fault.
- Perform visual quality inspection of products produced on your machine
- Must be a team player, ability to work and communicate with coworkers effectively
- Willingness to learn, we provide on the job training, teach you the skills needed to grow within the company and build a successful career
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent or AS degree
- Must have prior manufacturing experience, machine operation experience preferred
- Plastics industry experience is preferred but not required
- Quality inspection experience is preferred but not required
- Stable work history, as this is a 90 day contract to hire opportunity
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
- Clean room position. Involves wearing clean room PPE, hair net, clean room suit, beard net, and shoe covers
- Lifting requirement is very minimal but is repetitive

Grinding Machine / Sorter Machine Operator - Afternoon shift
TOPS Staffing is currently looking to hire a grinding and sorter machine operator for an established manufacturing client located in Delmont, PA.
Job Details:
Afternoon shift - 2pm to 10:30pm
Work schedule: Monday to Friday
Starting Pay rate: $18.75
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operate and industrial grinding machine
- Load or feed pieces of scrap material into grinder
- Remove full totes when filled with grindings.
- Put new tote onto machine
- Use industrial scale to weigh totes and materials
- Empty bins into sorter machine either by hand or using forklift (will train on lift it needed)
- Empty collection bins of sorted scrap in to appropriate tote bags
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required
- Forklift experience would be a plus but not required for consideration
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing
- Repetitive lifting
- Push/ pulling of loaded carts
- Ability to work steady off shift hours including weekends

Intake Specialist - Medical Device Service Center Department

Hours: Afternoon shift - 5 days a week 2pm to 10pm or 4 days a week from noon to 10pm

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Use of computer to input units coming in for service into our inventory system, experience with any inventory software would be a big plus
- Decontaminate equipment using PPE and proper safety procedures
- Use of chemicals such as bleach or alcohol to clean various parts.
- Prepare and package units for return shipment to customers or warehouse storage
- Assist with shipping/receiving duties and packaging materials
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Prior warehouse or intake experience would be a plus
- Any experience with cleaning or decontaminating medical equipment would a be plus
- Experience with computers and Microsoft Office, ERP systems or similar software would be a big plus
- Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Comfortable using hand tools, PPE, and working with small electronic parts
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to lift, move, and package machines as needed
