Job Title: CNC Machinist
Shifts: Currently hiring for Daylight and Afternoon shifts  

Daylight Hours: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
or

Afternoon Hours: 3pm to 1:30am
Schedule: Monday to Thursday – 10hr shifts – Friday is an overtime day when needed – OT Regularly available.
Location: Irwin, PA
Pay Rate: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour (depending on experience and ability)

 

About the Position
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a skilled CNC Machinist, where your expertise will contribute to precision production and quality assurance. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with advanced multi-axis lathes and milling equipment, honing your skills in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup & Operation: Prepare and operate CNC machines, including multi-axis lathes (preferably Doosan and Okuma turning centers) and milling machines (Mazak and Haas). No programming required; however, editing programs is a plus.
  • Quality Control: Conduct inspection of parts during production using calipers and other precision measuring tools to ensure adherence to company specifications.
  • Technical Reading: Interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints accurately to produce high-quality components.
  • Machine Maintenance: Perform routine setup, load/unload parts, and troubleshoot basic machine issues to maintain consistent production flow.
  • Process Improvement: Assist in minor adjustments and modifications to optimize machining processes and improve product quality.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience setting up and operating multi-axis CNC lathes, preferably Doosan and Okuma turning centers.
  • Experience with CNC milling machines such as Mazak and Haas.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using measuring instruments like calipers to verify part dimensions.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Title: Manual Machinist
Employee Status: Direct Hire 

Job Summary:

Operate various machine tools to manufacture and repair mechanical assemblies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (preferred).

  • Training from trade school, vocational/technical school, military, or on-the-job machine shop experience.

Skills:

  • Basic mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to follow training, operational, and safety procedures.

  • Team player with good communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs.

  • Regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs.; stand, walk, use hands and arms.

  • Occasionally lift/move 100+ lbs.; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.

  • Good vision (close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, ability to focus).

Responsibilities:

  • Record data needed for service and design results.

  • Use measuring devices for proper sizing.

  • Perform milling, drilling, tapping, boring, and lathe work.

  • Balance mechanical assemblies with dynamic balancing equipment.

  • Perform metal spraying techniques as needed.

  • Operate MIG, TIG, torch, and stick welders.

  • Set up and perform tool-post grinding, broaching, and babbitt bearing work.

  • Use hand and power tools (band saws, sanders, grinders, files, etc.).

  • Safely lift, adjust, and secure heavy objects.

  • Follow safety procedures and use PPE (eye/ear protection).

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Assist other machinists and departments as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
