TOPS Staffing is hiring a TIG Welder for a well-established manufacturing company in the Glenshaw area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming out of a technical school welding program who wants to gain real-world experience and develop their TIG welding skills in a professional shop environment.

Position Overview:
As a TIG Welder, you will work as part of a production team fabricating metal components using TIG welding techniques. This role is ideal for candidates who have completed welding training and are looking to build experience while working alongside experienced welders in a structured manufacturing environment.


What You’ll Be Doing:
• Perform TIG welding on aluminum and steel components
• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and job instructions
• Prepare materials for welding including grinding, fitting, and cleaning parts
• Inspect welds to ensure quality and accuracy
• Use basic measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers
• Maintain a safe and organized work area
• Work with team members and supervisors to meet production goals


Qualifications:
• Recent graduate of a welding program or technical school preferred
• Basic TIG welding training or classroom experience required
• Ability to read blueprints or shop drawings is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Good work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety

Welder - Direct Hire Opportunity

Welder (MIG & Stick) – Direct Hire | Union Shop
TOPS Staffing is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company to hire an experienced Welder for a direct hire opportunity focused around tank fabrication. This is a shop-based position offering steady work, union benefits, and long-term wage growth in a stable production environment.

While this role will primarily involve Submerged Arc Welding (SAW), candidates must have solid MIG and Stick welding experience. Sub arc experience is a plus but can be trained for the right welder with strong foundational skills.

Position Overview
As a Welder, you will work on large tanks in a production shop setting. You will weld using MIG and Stick processes and transition into submerged arc welding as needed. This role requires comfort working on large, heavy-duty components and the ability to produce high-quality welds that meet safety and code requirements.

Daylight shift – Monday to Friday – 6:30am to 3pm
Starting pay: $21.76 per hour
Progression to $25.60 per hour once fully trained
Annual increases projected to reach $28+ per hour by 2028


Key Responsibilities
• Perform MIG and Stick welding on tanks and large fabrications
• Train and perform Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)
• Weld inside and outside of tanks according to approved welding procedures
• Read and interpret weld symbols, blueprints, and fabrication drawings
• Prepare joints, grind, and clean weld areas as required
• Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance
• Maintain production and quality documentation


Qualifications
• Experience with MIG and Stick welding required
• Experience welding tanks, pressure vessels, or heavy structural components preferred
