SKILL REQUIREMENTS

TOPS Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a CNC Shop Environment. 

Shift & Hours - Daylight - 6am to 2:30pm
Schedule: Monday to Friday - OT is available but not mandated
Pay: $27 to $30 per hour, based on experience

Job Overview:

If you have hands-on experience with CNC and fabrication equipment, plus a knack for troubleshooting and repairs, this is your chance to make an impact in a stable, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and troubleshoot production machines, including CNC and supporting equipment
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Dismantle, replace, and realign parts as needed to ensure optimal machine performance
  • Document maintenance activities and repair history accurately 
  • Maintain inventory of repair parts and requisitions as needed
  • Work collaboratively with a small team to minimize machine downtime and support production

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working on CNC machines and fabrication-related equipment
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems, machine controls, and electrical troubleshooting
  • Skilled in assembly, installation, and preventive maintenance practices
  • Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and thermal diagrams
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or Mechanical Technology preferred; minimum 5 years’ relevant experience

Physical & Work Environment

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment that may be noisy, hot, or cold
  • Frequent manual handling, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Capable of working overtime as needed to support production needs
  • Must adhere to health and safety policies, including PPE usage and safe work practices
