TOPS Staffing is hiring a Lab Technician for a client in the Spring Hill, FL area. This position would be helping support a large industrial construction project for the next 1 to 1.5 years. Great opportunity for a recent graduate to gain some work experience with a globally recognized company working on a high visibility project happening in that area.
Shift / Schedule / Pay
Schedule: Monday to Friday - may require weekend work on occasion based on project schedule.
Hours: 7 am to 3:30 pm (some flexibility)
Pay: Up to $25/hr based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct tests for water and wastewater treatment operations including jar tests, SDI, and pilot evaluations.
- Collect and record data such as pH, ORP, temperature, and pressure.
- Operate and perform light maintenance on lab equipment like pumps, heaters, and mixers.
- Prepare samples, reagents, and maintain lab inventory and calibration records.
- Maintain cleanliness of lab equipment and ensure safety documentation is up to date.
- Manage data and communicate findings effectively within the team.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Chemistry or a related field is highly preferred
- Experience or training in wet inorganic chemistry analytical procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude and technical background preferred.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow complex procedures and safety protocols.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical & Work Environment:
- Ability to lift/carry and move up to 45 lbs.
- Must wear PPE as required on site.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and focus in a busy environment.
