- Hours: 10PM – 7:00 AM
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Type: Direct Hire Opportunity
- Compensation: 85k to 90k + yearly performance bonus
The Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating all night-shift activities across multiple production lines. This includes managing staffing, maintaining production output, ensuring product quality, promoting a safe work environment, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
In this position you will oversee 40–50 employees, including machine operators, group leads, material handlers, and production staff.
Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership
- Ensure daily and weekly production goals are consistently met.
- Assign work, monitor output, and support operators and team leads.
- Track production performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Address workflow issues, bottlenecks, or equipment-related delays.
- Support ongoing process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all products meet established quality standards.
- Maintain compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.
- Monitor quality indicators (scrap, defects, rework) and take corrective actions when needed.
- Ensure proper documentation, work instructions, and training materials are followed.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all work areas.
- Enforce safety policies and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Participate in safety investigations and root-cause analysis when incidents occur.
- Keep accurate safety logs and ensure timely follow-up on safety concerns.
- Lead and coach a large team of production employees.
- Conduct performance evaluations, corrective actions, and employee development discussions.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.
- Maintain staffing levels and ensure shift coverage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred).
- 1+ year of supervisory experience in manufacturing (required).
- 5+ years total experience in a production environment.
- Experience working in regulated or quality-focused manufacturing (medical device, pharmaceutical, electronics, etc.) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S practices.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
