Position Overview
The Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating all night-shift activities across multiple production lines. This includes managing staffing, maintaining production output, ensuring product quality, promoting a safe work environment, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

In this position you will oversee 40–50 employees, including machine operators, group leads, material handlers, and production staff.

Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership
  • Ensure daily and weekly production goals are consistently met.
  • Assign work, monitor output, and support operators and team leads.

  • Address workflow issues, bottlenecks, or equipment-related delays.
  • Support ongoing process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • 1+ year of supervisory experience in manufacturing (required).
  • 5+ years total experience in a production environment.
  • Experience working in regulated or quality-focused manufacturing (medical device, pharmaceutical, electronics, etc.) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S practices.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Our client is willing to train how to operate their production machines.  The main thing we are seeking is individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude that can follow detailed step by step instructions and set up diagrams.  A lot of this job is doing setup of your machine on product change overs, once your machine is set up it’s a pretty automated process where the machine is doing all of the work and your just monitoring it and checking finished product to ensure its within quality specifications. Typically will do a minimum of 2 product change overs / machine setups per shift.

•    Operate and monitor production machines to meet quality and output standards
•    Perform Machine setup using instructions and setup diagrams
•    Use walkie talkies to call for material needed for specific production runs, a material handler will pull all necessary raw materials and bring them to your work area. 
•    High attention to detail, will be tasked with reading work orders to determine material needed for job, quantity of pieces needed to produce, size of pieces, etc. 
•    Perform basic measurements using tape measures, calipers, or gauges for quality checks and ensure proper machine setups
•    Work closely with team members to ensure smooth production flow
•    Perform basic maintenance, and minor adjustments to assigned machine

Required Skills
•    Experience operating production machinery highly preferred but not required

• Read blueprints and job specifications to determine setup and sequence
• Select correct punches, dies, and materials
• Adjust machine settings, tooling locations, and CNC programs as needed
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and laser inspection tools
• Deburr, finish, and protect parts during and after production
• Perform routine equipment maintenance
• Move materials safely using forklifts or pallet jacks
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S standards


Qualifications
• 3+ years of press brake or punch operation experience
• Ability to set up press brakes independently
• Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills
• Experience selecting punches and dies and calculating bend allowances
• Comfortable editing CNC programs and adjusting machine parameters is preferred
• Familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measure, gauges)
• Strong safety awareness and reliable attendance
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
