• Leading environmental compliance projects such as NPDES Permit sampling and discharge monitoring report preparation.
• Leading the design and technical direction for civil/site, water resources, and/or wastewater components on power generation facility projects.
• Deliverables may include Civil/Site Development and Access Road Grading Plans, Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plans, Stormwater Management Plans, Utility Design, and Relocation Plans, Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans, Hydrology and Hydraulic Reports, Permit Application Packages (earth disturbance, land development, highway occupancy, water obstruction and encroachment, water quality, etc), and Construction Plans, Specifications, and Opinions of Probable Cost.
• Water and wastewater engineering and design, which may include collection, conveyance, treatment, pumping, and storage systems.
• Water Resource engineering and design, which may include hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, drainage systems, channels, and stormwater management systems.
• Design of temporary and permanent Stormwater Best Management Practices (channels, culverts, infiltration, detention, and/or retention structures).

• Bachelors (B.S.) degree from an accredited college in Environmental or Civil Engineering (M.S. degree a plus)
• Professional Engineering license preferred (or have the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and its use to generate site plans, surfaces, profiles, cross-sections, topographic plans, etc.

• Possess the ability to perform designs, calculations, reports, drafting and modeling in any of the below disciplines, Mechanical HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection.
• General understanding of applicable codes and standards as it relates to the design of mechanical, plumbing or fire protection systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of graphical standards as it relates to producing construction documents.
• Proficiency in utilizing Revit and AutoCAD software.

• BS Mechanical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university program.
• Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certificate.
• 2-6 years of related experience in an engineering consulting firm

• This is a direct hire role that comes with a salary, healthcare and PTO.

• Oversee preparation of construction plans; perform or review calculations for design, grade lines, alignments, and drainage.
• Oversee preparation plans for permitting and construction of land development projects which include design, layout, grading, drainage, and E & S controls.
• Prepare detailed project cost estimates.
• Mentor junior staff.
• Assist clients with bidding and construction administration.
• Work with construction inspection personnel, as required, and review daily field reports to assure that contracted work accomplishes the intent of the contract documents.
• Coordinate and maintain all aspects of project management including client communication, financial management, and internal / external team coordination.   
• Participate in business development activities such as client meetings, proposals, RFQ submissions, and strategic planning with the division leader and marketing staff.

• A BS from ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering. Other engineering degrees will be considered based on relevant experience and qualifications.
• 5-15 years of experience is preferred.
• PE Certification is required.

Job Details:

• Needs to be able to layout electrical rooms
• Develop single line and three line diagrams
• Develop breaker control schematics

• BSEE and EIT is a must, PE is preferred minimum of 10 years of experience in this type of work.

• Must be willing and able to travel for information gathering and check-out/Start-up Assistance.
