We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer, Project Manager to lead and manage complex site civil engineering projects, supporting both private and public land development initiatives. Overview
This Civil Engineer, Project Manager role is vital to our client’s project delivery and client management strategy. The successful candidate will oversee municipal and private land development projects, including wastewater and stormwater management, site grading, and drainage. With a focus on project success, this position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills to manage project scopes, timelines, budgets, and regulatory compliance. Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering project management or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or an experienced Project Manager with a Civil Engineering Bachelor’s degree and EIT certification
- Proven experience managing wastewater, stormwater, and site development projects
- Strong understanding of regulatory permitting processes and experience with public bidding, construction plans, and specifications
- Excellent client communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency with Civil3D, Hydrocad, Hydraflow, or similar engineering software is a plus
- Familiarity with municipal MS4 permitting and public project requirements
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience in preparing proposals and managing client relationships
- Ability to attend and present at public meetings
- Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools
- Background in construction contract management and field oversight
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not mandatory
- At least 5 years of relevant project management experience in municipal or private land development
Other Requirements
- Willingness to work within a hybrid office environment, with flexibility to work from home as needed
- Valid driver’s license and ability to attend project site visits and public meetings as required
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and ethical practice
